Work with Haselden in the Western Region!

Last week we talked about construction jobs in the Northern Region with Haselden—this week we’re taking it to the mountains! A lot of people move to Colorado because they like to ski, snowboard, mountain bike, hike . . . so why not live and work where you can do it in your off time without having to make the trek up from the city?

What’s up in the Western Region?

Haselden has an incredible amount of work going on in the mountains! Here’s some background on a few of our current projects:

• W Aspen – The W Aspen is a 128,000 SF, 4-story building with a rooftop pool, patio, bar and spa. This high-end luxury resort is located at the base of Aspen Mountain in the heart of downtown. The hotel will have 93 rooms, 11 of which will be fractional ownership units. Haselden’s Self-Perform teams are heavily involved in this project, including concrete, window install, and rough carpentry. Completion is slated for spring of 2019.
• Hotel Jerome – The current renovation and addition that Haselden is working on at the historic Hotel Jerome encompasses several elements. The 13,500 SF of new construction includes back-of-house areas in the basement, meeting space on the first floor, and new hotel rooms on floors two and three, as well as a pool and 7,000 SF courtyard. The historic portion (the Aspen Times building which was salvaged and moved) is being converted to a meeting space on the first floor, with a basement under it which will be a speakeasy lounge. The project is built near the lot line of the neighboring two-story building, which made it very challenging when putting in the 12-foot basement!
• Eagle County Schools – We are currently working on a number of schools for Eagle County Schools, including construction of the new Eagle Valley Elementary School, the Eagle Valley Middle School renovation, and the Eagle Valley High School addition. All told, Haselden (with JV partner RA Nelson) has been awarded over $100M worth of work for Eagle County Schools in the last several years.
• One Snowmass – Our One Snowmass project is in the heart of the village and encompasses buildings 7 & 8 which includes 41 condominiums (11 in building 7 and 30 in building 8) totaling approximately 80,000 SF of residential square footage. There will be four employee housing units averaging 800 SF per unit and approximately 14,000 SF of commercial ski services space on the ground floor.
