Can Buildings Be Environmentally Sustainable And Aesthetically Pleasing?

A Sustainable Construction Company

Definitely yes, and when we say this, we are talking about the trend of green buildings. Green purchasing is a critical component for construction projects. The process of defining a building as a green building starts with the integrated products, technologies and services.

A building designed in a sustainable manner is not only modern and aesthetically appealing, but it also reduces the impact on the environment, throughout its entire lifespan. Sustainability also has a positive economic impact in terms of reducing costs by using green methods (one of the most efficient ways to reduce costs is by enhancing the energy performance).

Sustainability does not necessarily relate to the materials used, but also to the design of a building. Passive design is not an accessory or complement to architectural design, but is a process integrated into the architectural design. For a building to be sustainable, it has to meet the following requirements, among others:

  • There must be no air losses greater than 0.6 times its volume per hour
  • Total electricity consumption should not exceed 120 kWh / m² per year;
  • The building should be designed to have an annual requirement of no more than 15 kWh / m² per year for heating and 15 kWh / m² per year for cooling OR be projected with a maximum cold demand of 10W / m²;
  • It must include solar technology
  • It has to use the landscape correctly
  • It must be properly insulated and ventilated

Buildings designed and built by https://haselden.com/ are Sustainable and Aesthetically pleasing in our Denver and surrounding city communities.
